About Me

I am a bilingual, first-generation Colombian-American. I was born and raised right here in Maryland and look forward to serving my local community through therapeutic services. For as long as I can remember I have been passionate about offering myself to help people that may need guidance or support. That internal drive is what fueled my spirit in pursuing a career in the mental health field, where I use my empathy, compassion, and problem-solving skills to help others find balance in their lives. My clients would describe me as approachable and open-minded but unafraid to challenge them when needed to achieve their overall goals.

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stevenson University in 2013 and later obtained my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Towson University in 2017. I primarily work in family-based therapy, particularly with issues stemming from ADHD, defiant or disobedient behavior, and mood disorders. I also specialize in individual therapy with college-age adults and above who are dealing with issues surrounding anxiety, depression, or life transitions.

My approach is rooted in utilizing the entire family as a team of players, all of whom have their own individual duties in creating and facilitating a healthy therapeutic process. I primarily use a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, strengths-based support, parenting education, and solutions-focused brief therapy in my practice. Teamwork is the key to overcoming familial obstacles, and I believe with my support we can achieve the goals you have for yourself and your children.
