A-CRA is a substance abuse prevention program for adolescents and young adults aged 12-24.
As an A-CRA certified counselor, my goal is to help young people with new or existing substance abuse issues by leveraging family, friends, and educational support systems on their road to recovery. The program consists of both individual and family sessions with the patient and with parents/guardians where we work towards helping the patient develop skills related to problem-solving and communication and to promote participation in positive social and recreational activities in and out of school. Our ultimate goal together will be to eliminate any substance abuse issues that may be preventing the patient from leading a fulfilling life.
